KapohoKine in the Community!

KapohoKine Community Events RSS Feed

The Hawaiian word "kuleana" means, among other things, responsibility.  It is a very important part of our kuleana at KapohoKine Adventures to give back in any way we can to our Hawaii Island community. We're honored that groups big and small, from local community charter schools to national organizations like the Make A Wish Foundation, have approached us for help in many different ways.

KapohoKine Adventures directly created more than 40 jobs here on Hawaii Island in 2010 alone, and we indirectly support thousands of jobs through our affiliates, vendors and others.  We're working to create another 40 much needed jobs in 2011 with our partners at the gorgeous Honolii Mountain Outpost.

We enrich our community by volunteering our time to keep a stretch of highway clean, making donations to dozens of charitable and not for profit fundraisers island wide, and offering opportiunities for local families to experience our zip line and land tours for free who otherwise would not be able to afford it, including a "zip free" Labor Day weekend for the local community.

A few of the groups we've assisted in 2010 are listed below.

If you would like to learn more about our community efforts, how you can help, or if you need help with your local fundraising effort, please click here to send us an email. Together we can continue to enrich the community of Hawaii Island!
